Your movies deserve a better screen — bring your own.
Loll Player is a native media player built for Meta Quest 3 and at home across the whole Quest family. It plays the video and 360°/180° photos you already have — from your headset, a USB drive, or your own home servers — up to 8K60 on Quest 3, with desktop-grade subtitles.
No accounts. No ads. No analytics. Nothing about what you watch ever leaves your headset.
Put the screen wherever you like — it follows your gaze
Sit up, lie down, sideways on the couch — the screen doesn't care. Place it anywhere, resize it freely, and when you move or look elsewhere, one long press on the Meta button re-centers everything to exactly where you're looking. No fixed sweet spot, no fighting the app for a comfortable angle.
A media space that doesn't exist until you call it
Everyone has files that aren't for everyone who borrows the headset. Loll Player has a hidden, PIN-gated space with no visible entry point — no icon, no "hidden folder" flag, no hint that anything is there. Inside it, your content and servers are completely cut off from the normal space: not in recents, not in history, not on screen captures. Auto-locks the moment you take the headset off.
Your 2D, 180° and 360° shots — on a screen big enough to enjoy them
If you shoot your own photos and footage, you know the problem: 360° and 180° shots are unwatchable on a flat phone screen, 2D media viewers flatten everything, and desktop apps drown your library in imports and catalogs. Loll Player plays them all — side-by-side and over-under stereo, 360° and 180° photos and video, plain 2D files, plus stills and footage straight off your camera's SD card via USB — exactly the layout they were shot in, with thumbnail grids that auto-detect the stereo format so browsing stays fast. No import step, no library rebuild, no conversion: point it at your folders and review your work the way you remember shooting it.

Built for people who keep their own library
Not a streaming storefront — a player. Everything runs natively on the headset: a compact app that starts fast, runs light, and puts the headset's hardware straight to work on high-bitrate files over home networks.
Awkward containers, too
8K60 HEVC and AV1 at high bitrates, plus the long tail — MKV, AVI, WMV, FLV, RMVB, VOB, and other containers other players choke on, played directly or converted on the fly. Every format gets a manual override if auto-detection guesses wrong.
Desktop-grade subtitles
SRT and full ASS styling — fonts, positioning, karaoke effects — rendered the way a desktop player renders them, on the big screen. External files auto-load, text encodings are auto-detected, and image-based subtitle formats work too.
Photos, too — including 360°
Browse and view 2D, 360°, and 180° photos with slideshows, pan and zoom, and thumbnail grids that auto-detect side-by-side layouts. Supports RAW files from 50+ camera brands.
Music in the background
Keep your music playing while you browse photos. A dedicated control bar handles queue, loop, and volume without interrupting what you're doing.
Binge-ready
Continuous playback through a folder, resume positions for every file, watch history, favorites, and next-clip preloading so episodes start instantly.
Survives real networks
SMB read-ahead buffering and automatic session reconnect mean a sleeping NAS or a Wi-Fi hiccup costs a second, not your movie.
Shot with a 360° camera? Covered.
Plays camera-native 360° files from the major brands directly, and can save a permanent, shareable MP4 copy of any converted clip — spherical metadata included — so it plays right everywhere else too.
Tuned for long sessions
Adaptive render quality that steps down as the headset warms up, refresh-rate matched to the video's frame rate, and a battery-saver decode mode — picture quality that lasts as long as your movie does.
Fine-tune it, then keep it
Fix washed-out or oversaturated video with color-range correction, gamut selection, and brightness/contrast controls. Grab network files with a resumable download queue for offline viewing, and save a permanent MP4 copy of anything the player converts.
Your files stay where they are
Loll Player doesn't upload, sync, or index your library anywhere. It reads from wherever you already keep it — over a dozen ways in.
Sources
- ✓Headset storage — copy files over, play them offline.
- ✓USB drives — plug in via OTG, grant access once, stays authorized across reboots.
- ✓SMB / WebDAV — your NAS, with LAN discovery, reconnect on network drops, and encrypted saved passwords.
- ✓Media servers — browse UPnP servers on your network, or your existing media-server libraries; even cast playback to Loll from your PC.
- ✓… and more — network streams (HLS/DASH), resumable downloads, and other protocols.
What that means in practice
- ✓Playback traffic goes directly between your headset and your server.
- ✓Works in airplane mode for local and USB files — always.
- ✓No cloud library, no uploads, no media index on anyone's servers.
- ✓Thumbnails and caches live on your headset and clean themselves up.
Watch the way you like
Switch the world around your screen — or do away with the screen entirely: with 360°/180° content, the picture simply wraps all the way around you. Every surface resizes continuously, and one long press on the Meta button recenters everything.
🪟 Giant screen
A wall-sized display for when you want maximum real estate. Zoom continuously from 0.5× to 4× with the thumbstick.
👁️ Passthrough
See your real room through the headset's cameras while you watch — handy for keeping an eye on the kids, the pizza, or the kettle.
Comfort built in
- ✓Custom 360° wallpaper — replace the void with any 360 photo, saved per environment.
- ✓Head-lock — the screen stays put even when tracking drops on a plane or in the dark, and detects vehicle motion to keep things steady mid-flight.
- ✓One-hand control — nearly everything runs off a single controller.
- ✓Recenter anywhere — look where you like, hold the Meta button, and the screen comes to you.
Designed around your language
- ✓Follows your headset's system language automatically.
- ✓Simple default settings; everything advanced stays out of the way.
- ✓HUD panels always appear in front of you — never lost behind your head.
Private by design
Loll Player has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics. Your settings, watch history, and resume positions live in the app's private storage on your headset — nowhere else. The only thing that can ever leave the app is an error report, and only if you explicitly turn reporting on. Media file names and titles are removed from reports before they are sent.
- ✓No accounts or sign-in
- ✓No ads or trackers
- ✓No usage analytics
- ✓Server passwords encrypted on-device
- ✓Never touches the camera feed in passthrough
- ✓Hidden PIN-gated private space for personal content
